Production 7- Finishing the Final Product

I started working on my feature article and I am very exited to finish the project. Overall, I think that it is going very well. The scientist that I interviewed seems to be exited to see the final product as well because she texted me and asked to see how it turns out.     I am kind of worried about getting everything done tonight because I have a lot of studying to do, but I plan to get a lot of the magazine done today in class since we have a block period. Because it is very new to me InDesign takes a lot more time to complete tasks on and finish a piece of text, compered to PowerPoint or Word.

Production 6- Magazine

I think my magazine is going really well; however, I wish I was a little bit further along then I am right now. I have my title page and my contents page, so that leaves me with both pages of the feature article. I am going to have to work efficiently, but effectively to make sure to create a quality product that my audience will want to read.     I am going to finish the whole magazine tonight and I plan to do it with quality.

Production 5- Crunch Time

My project is due on Friday, and it looks like I will have to crunch a little bit this week. I feel that I should've practiced and learn the magazine software a little more than I did. However, I feel like I will still be able to make a quality project before the due date. I plan to work on it a lot this week and do some finishing touches during my block period on Thursday.     I believe I am in a pretty good spot on my project because I have all of my pictures and the majority of my beefy information on my project. Basically, I just have to do the digital designing and put my magazine together!

Production 4- The Interview

I finally got to do the interview for my feature article! It went better than expected because the scientist gave me a lot of detailed information on what her job is really like. I was a little nervous that she felt bothered by me interviewing her, but she seemed really exited to be interviewed. The scientist put a lot of thought into what she was saying to make sure that she could give the most detailed responses possible.     I am so glad I got this part out of the way so now I can focus on the design and layout out of my magazine. I personally think the project is going to turn out great because I am working really hard! However, it is a little stressful right now because it is basically midterm week and I have a lot of other school work along with my magazine. Overall, I am exited that I got my project into full swing and can't wait to see how the final product looks!

Production 3- Starting the Final Product

I have all the supplies and materials I need to make a quality magazine. I finished all my questions for the interview, I have all the pictures I need, and the software is all set up and ready to go! However, I planned to interview the scientist on Monday, January 11th, but it had to be rescheduled because something popped up on her agenda.     I was pretty stressed out because I was ready to get the beef of the project out of the way. However, I'm going to use this experience as an example to show the abnormal day of a scientist. I will ask the scientist if things like that happen regularly and if the days are hectic. I will try not to bring anything negative because I do not want my audience to be chased away from the occupation for my feature article.     Overall, I feel like after I get all the information I need to fulfill my feature article my stress levels will go way down and I will be able to focus on formatting and style. Even tho...

Production 2- Time to Grind

Over the winter break, I did a little work on my project to make a quality magazine. I mainly made sure all the materials on my feature article were good and ready to go. I had the lady I am interviewing take picture of all her labs and materials, and I cam up with some generic questions I am going to ask her. I personally think I made some quality questions that will really inform my audience.     This week I plan to interview the scientist for my feature article sometime this week. I also plan to finish the article by the end of the weekend so all I have left to do is the cover page and feature article. I am really exited to make this product and see how it turns out!

Production 1-The Rundown on my Production

I am so  excited  that we are finally getting started on the magazine! The story board was very stressful, but I think I  brainstormed a pretty good idea of my wonderful magazine.  I am so glad that I found a really good resource for me  feature  article and I plan to knoc k it out of the park!   So, I have such easy  access to a marine scientist  at Mote Marine : my mom.  I talked to her about how I really wanted to interview her for my  magazine,  and she was  siked ! My idea is to  interview  her so the audience reading my magazine  would find it useful if they are an inspiring marine scientist. I’m go ing to  have her  take   pictures  of herself in her lab to put into the magazine  and  animals that she  regularly  works with. The feature article will be very blue and aquatic!   My idea behind is my magazine is that I will make it shiny an...
